Maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment, including wiring, lighting, and machinery. They troubleshoot electrical problems, read blueprints and technical diagrams, and ensure all work adheres to safety codes and regulations. They may also supervise junior technicians and collaborate with engineers.

Maintenance:Performing regular inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems to ensure optimal performance and prevent failures.
Repair:Diagnosing and fixing electrical issues, including faulty wiring, malfunctioning equipment, and damaged components.
Troubleshooting:Identifying the root cause of electrical problems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Reading Blueprints and Diagrams:Interpreting technical drawings to understand the layout of electrical systems and components.
Safety Compliance:Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols.
Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair work performed.
Collaboration:Working with other technicians and engineers on complex projects.
Supervision:May supervise junior technicians and apprentices.
Customer/Client Communication:In some roles, communicating with customers/clients about issues, solutions, and recommendations.
Material Management:Ordering electrical supplies and equipment.
